The best advice when packing for a surf trip is to pack as light as possible, as most of the time is spent in the water.
A cap and a pair of board shorts is what you will be living in for 90% of the time with the beautiful equatorial climate of Sumatra.
Basically you need to pack:
A pair of jeans, 2 pairs of walk shorts, sunglasses, a few t-shirts and a spray jacket, along with the following ‘in-water’ essentials:
•Tropical formula wax – several bars
•3-4 extra leashes
•If using removable fins, extra fins and fin keys
•Surf hat
•Boards of varying sizes – fun board, mid sizers and one for the bigger days
•Sun cure resin
•Reef booties
•Wax comb
•Towels
•2 or 3 pairs of surf shorts
